PADI IDC Staff Instructors looking to gain their PADI Master Instructor and possibly PADI Course Director ratings have to show experience in participating in PADI Instructor Development programs. I am pleased to be able to offer limited opportunities for certified PADI IDC Staff Instructors to audit IDCs, coupled with personalised mentoring on developing your skills and business plans as an Instructor Trainer.
These opportunities are strictly limited so that I can devote sufficient time to the IDC Candidates, as well as provide you with personalised feedback and mentoring throughout the program.
Apart from a daily one-on-one feedback session throughout the program, I will also provide you a written report at the conclusion of the program. You may use this in support of your Master Instructor or CDTC Application, as well as a record of your strengths and development opportunities. You will be given the opportunity to conduct presentations, and you will be provided with feedback on those.
With respect to IDC Auditing, the following policies apply.
- If an individual has completed an IDC Staff Instructor Course with me at the hosting dive centre, they may participate for no charge. Costs for expenses such as pool fees, boat dives, etc, may apply.
- For an IDC Staff Instructor who has qualified elsewhere, there is a cost that applies to auditing the program. This covers mentoring and counseling, and preparing written reports. You will also gain your PADI Dive Centre Employee Distinctive Specialty Instructor rating.
For IDC Staff Instructors who have completed their training elsewhere, there will be a one day program prior to the IDC commencement where you will participate in training to gain your PADI Dive Centre Employee Distinctive Specialty Instructor rating, as well as evaluation practice and ID program and standards review.
